FORZA CERTIFICATION

The revised FORZA Certification is divided in 3 parts, or modules.

FORZA INTENSIVE M1 is designed to set the foundation for anyone interested in learning how to properly use a sword and mastering the correct technique of Japanese Samurai sword fighting. This workshop is intense, mostly practical and will be physically demanding.

FORZA INSTRUCTOR TRAINING M2 is geared towards anyone that has completed M1 and is interested in becoming a FORZA Instructor. During this training, participants will learn how to teach various levels of FORZA classes for Group Fitness and Private Training purposes.

POWERSTRIKE CERTIFICATION

The revised Powerstrike Training Certification is divided in 3 parts, or modules. POWERSTRIKE INTENSIVE is open to anyone interested in attending an intense workshop designed to set the foundation for a strong and successful martial arts/fitness workout.

To progress and become a POWERSTRIKE INSTRUCTOR participants have to successfully complete Module 2.

M1 ñ M2 ñ M3 Certifications breakdown, details and qualifications

POWERSTRIKE INTENSIVE
(Module 1)
  • Learn how to structure a fun, authentic and successful kickboxing class based on the Powerstrike system.
  • Develop greater understanding and knowledge of the world of martial arts/kickboxing through the Powerstrike system
  • Advance and improve correct punching and kicking techniques for better workouts and fitness results. Participants will learn how to correctly execute and teach:
  • All basic Punches
  • All basic Kicks
  • Basic and advanced exercises for each individual technique (punching drills and kicking drills)
  • Combinations
  • 1-Hour complete class choreography
  • Open to everyone
  • Participants will receive the Powerstrike manual, choreography notes, certificate of completion
  • 1 Full day training

POWERSTRIKE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (Module 2)
  • Progress to become a successful Powerstrike Instructor by attending Module 2 of the Powerstrike certification.
  • Participants of Module 1 will have 4 to 16 weeks time to practice teaching a Powerstrike class
  • Participants have the option to repeat M-2 as many times as they need to perfect teaching skills
  • Participants will practice teaching, developing and mastering the skills required to teach a successful Powerstrike kickboxing class: the sequence, basic and advance choreography, cues and modifications
  • Participants will be evaluated based on their teaching skills, technique execution, class system, cueing and music knowledge and will have to pass the practical teaching test in order to become Instructors
  • Prerequisites: Completed Powerstrike Basic (M-1), valid GF certification from AFAA or ACE, 32 counts music teaching knowledge, attend 5 (free) Powerstrike classes anywhere in NY or practice with PS DVDs
  • Participants will receive choreography notes at the end of M-1 to practice and prepare for M-2 and access to Powerstrike.com to receive additional choreography and ONGOING training support (the new Powerstrike site is being developed for 2010). Powerstrike will also provide upon demand private training sessions. In order to become Instructor, participants have to pass successfully Module 2.
  • 1 day training (4 to 16 weeks after M-1)

POWERSTRIKE ADVANCED INSTRUCTOR (Module 3)
  • Last stage of the full POWERSTRIKE kickboxing certification in which Instructors will progress to Advanced Instructor by learning the Advanced Powerstrike Level 2 Techniques and advanced choreography:
  • Advanced Kicks and knee strikes
  • Blocks and Elbows strikes
  • Karate and Self defense moves that can be safely incorporated into combinations and advanced choreography
  • Open to Powerstrike Instructors only
  • Participants will receive the Powerstrike Advanced Manual with new choreography and access to advanced choreography on line.
  • 1 Half-day training (6 to 12 months after Module 2)

FORZA INTENSIVE (Module 1)
  • Learn how to use and cut with a wood sword
  • Develop incredible upper body and core strength
  • Learn how master the basic 10 Samurai strikes with both hands
  • Basic exercise drills
  • Advanced exercise drills
  • Open to everyone
  • 1 Full day training

FORZA INSTRUCTOR (Module 2)
  • Progress to become a successful Forza Instructor by attending Module 2 of the Forza certification.
  • Participants of Module 1 will have 2 to 4 weeks time to practice cutting techniques and basic exercises
  • Participants have the option to repeat M-2 as many times as they need to perfect teaching skills
  • Participants will practice teaching, developing and mastering the skills required to teach various level of the FORZA class: the sequence, basic and advance choreography, cues and modifications
  • Participants will be evaluated based on their teaching skills, technique execution, class system, cueing and music knowledge and will have to pass the practical teaching test in order to become Instructors
  • Prerequisites: Completed Forza Basic (M-1), valid GF certification from AFAA or ACE, 32 counts music teaching knowledge, attend 4 (free) Forza classes anywhere in NY or practice with the Forza DVD
  • Participants will receive choreography notes at the end of M-1 to practice and prepare for M-2 and access to Powerstrike.com to receive additional choreography and ONGOING training support (the new Powerstrike site is being developed for 2010). FORZA ADVANCED INSTRUCTOR (Module 3)
  • Learn the Advanced cutting strikes: Blocks, Advanced Diagonal, One handed and balancing strikes
  • Learn how to challenge students after months of years of basic Forza exercises and combinations
  • Master more complex combinations of strikes and hand speed
  • Progress to a deeper understanding of the physical and mental aspect offered by sword training
